Why This Xbox 360 Red Lights Problem That Drives Me Crazy
To all Xbox 360 Gaming Fans,
this is Brett Slansky and I had to develop this blog, because Microsoft become very greedy.
I have been Xbox 360 player since its introduction and I love the Microsoft ways of building great computer technologies.
Lately, I have been getting xbox 360 3 red lights on, which annoyed the heck out of me! I have turn the machine on and off, yet I could not finish to play my favorite game…what a bummer!
Called Microsoft support and get a really nice answer about how to fix the xbox 360 3 red light that are on on my machine.
They suggested to send the xbox 360 to them to take a look at it and quoted a price of more then $100 bucks. They must be insane!
I am wondering how many times, the xbox 360 3 red light problem comes up to average xbox players.
Is it that Microsoft wants and extra paycheck in this “tough economy”?

How do I make my xbox 360 get three red flashing red lights (the one where you get the e74 code)?
at the moment i am getting two flashing lights 5 minutes into any game I try to play. Apparently this is due to overheating but i have left it for more than 24 hours to cool down but still it crashes straight away. So i call xbox support for them to fix it: and for some reason they will only fix it for free if it has the three flashing lights and the e74 message, if theres anything else wrong with it i have to pay about £80 to fix it. So thats why i want to make it get three red lights so that i want have to pay a dime to get it fixed. All suggestions welcome, it will save me a ton if i can do it. I’ve heard stuff about wrapping it in towels but i just want to ask as many people as i can. All suggestions welcome. Thanks
First of all, you are getting things seriously mixed up. The E74 code has 1 red light. This is totally separate from the 3 red lights.
As to why they will only fix it for those problems: The standard warranty on the 360 is for 1 year. Due to a large number of problems they extended the warranty to 3 years ONLY for the 3 red lights and E74 codes. This tells me that your xbox is between 1 and 3 years old.
The towel trick the other posted talked about originally hit the web as a way to temporarily fix the 3 red lights, not cause them. If you do it on an xbox that does not yet have the 3 red lights, I have no idea if it would cause them to happen or not.

i have a xobox that is lighting up red but its all four red lights are on not the three for the ring of death does anyone no what cause’s all 4 lights to come on and how to fix it?
You can send in your xbox to microsoft. If you’re under warranty it’s free, but it’ll take about 3-4 weeks before you even see your XBOX back. If not under warranty, then it’ll easily cost you over $100 and still take 3-4 weeks. Been there done that.
Just get yourself a repair guide, it’s seriously the easiest thing to do and you’ll be up and running same day.

How do i make my xbox 360 get the three red lights?
I got my xbox 360 a few christmas’ back and just after the warranty ran out i got 1 red light, the e73 error. I rang microsoft and they said it would cost £80 plus shipping fees for it to get fixed which is a disgrace. The only way i can get it fixed for free is if it has the three lights. Can anybody help me??

you should find the right guide right away for cheap. even if you do get the 3 red lights, the DIY beats the 3-week wait time.
What would happen if i sent my xbox 360 in for three red light repair when thats not the problem?
My one year warranty is up but the red lights is three years. So what if i just told microsoft the problem was red lights? What would happen? anyone tried this?
They will test it, and if nothing is wrong they’ll send it back to you.
Is there a way I can fix my XBOX 360 myself? It has three red lights which circle around the power button.?
I have already tried the towel wrapped around the console trick and unfortunately I do not have any money to buy an online guide or send it in to get professionally fixed. You can explain the towel trick again, just in case I got it wrong. Thank you very much! 
you can fix it yourself other people have but without buying a guide or paying for someone to tell you how, i’m not sure you’ll have any luck. here’s a video that may help, good luck dude
Xbox 360 Three Red Lights?
One time I got the red lights while playing, then restarted console and played for a few more weeks.
The next time it happened again.
And then a few mins ago, happened again.
I know you have to send it back when this happens and you cant play games, but why does it still let me play?
Sometimes its just a loose wire. That might be the case, try unplugging everything, then plugging it back in.
